TESTING, FILMING, THEORY This week I've been focusing on researching inspirations, technology and theoretical lens for my theory class which has been extrememly helpful in understanding my character and my vision for my capstone. I have done a bit more testing with filming and I made some more props and improved on others. During my testing I found out quite a few things:  I really needed to re-enforce my puppets knees or else we wouldn't be able to film a walk sequence well  I want to make seperate hand puppets for shots that just require seeing his hands so that his body isnt in the way keep checking on his position as I found it's easy for my character to slowley slip down in frame. His shoulder joint also broke but I found that to be a possitve as the jumper kept it hidden and in place but mobility was much easier. I also found keying out two different shades of blue was easier than keying out one with tonal variation. Going forward I want to fix up my puppet, make h...

PUPPET MAKING, SWEATER TROUBLES, ANIMATIC, FILMING TESTS I built on thes skeleton that I made last week and I'm pretty happy with it! I also  made the decision to add some hair, I used my own (kinda weird) but I painted it to make it clump  and be more easy to key.  I also wanted to make a sweater for my character. First I tried sewing one out of extra material I had  that I painted pink but it was impossible to get him in it without ruining the clay underneath. I then  tried to make one out of stockings, it was impossible to sew or glue so Instead I bought a barbie.  I chopped up her dress, painted it and adjusted the siz...
